The following materials are ideal to collect hair samples for testing, but other combs or sharp scissors are adequate. It is important to tie the sample as tightly possible to keep the stands aligned.

Investigators may take several smaller samples which will be combined. Contact us for more information. Test cuts can be sent to the lab for evaluation prior to samples collection for comment on your technique. Barcodes are not required for test cut.
